Big Papa Art LLC (Victor Collazo) has been painting since meeting his mentor Kaitlyn Embry Lamm (KT Artistry) 5 years ago as she walked around downtown Avalon Park looking for a location for her art studio. He started as an assistant at her after-school classes and continues to attend those as the oldest ‘child.’

His paintings are inspired from his personal every day experiences. Pictures of places visited with his wife Jacqui; (various Caribbean islands, beaches sunsets, and Alaska); books he’s read (Jonathan Livingston Seagull), songs (Katy Perry’s Double Rainbow), and movies he’s watched (Over the Rainbow from “Judy”); painting inspired by his therapist (Victor’s window, Megan’s Perch, Stormy Orchard, The Senator – 49 buds, When Doves Cry); and drawings and doodles to get things out of his head.
His Summer Time Collection includes paintings from St Johns and St Thomas, Sint Maarten (St Martin), Alaska, Estero Beach, Anna Maria Island, and from home and surrounding areas in Avalon Park. Join him on most weekends in room 103 as he works on several pieces including one from the Duke University Gardens.
