Avalon Park Arts & Culture Center

Art has always surrounded my life. I grew up in south Miami in the 80’s and early 90’s. I went to South Miami High School and was in the magnet program for computer graphic arts. This was pre anything that exists today. I learned and studied a lot around shapes, colors and graphics.

After High Schoolm I turned my life upside down and attended a school on the edge of the Smoky Mountains, Maryville College. My high school graduating class was 900 students and the total amount of students at Maryville College was 800 (Including commuters). I traded the sun and beach for snow and the mountains. The average temperature was 85 degrees in Miami and 69 degrees in Maryville. After an understanding of my deepest passions, I graduated in 1998. I continued to live in the Knoxville area until 2002.

I began to deeply explore my love of pattern and oil paints when I returned to Miami in 2002. In 2004, I began a career with Best Buy. I moved to Orlando in 2005 and my career with Best Buy expanded. In 2012, I married the love of my life. She is a beautiful Brazilian women from Campo Grande. In 2013, we were blessed with a wonderful son, and continue to live in the College Park Neighborhood in Orlando.

In 2019, God changed my life. I ended a 14.5 year career with Best Buy. With new opportunities on life, I decided that I woul not let my talents go to waste and pursued a career in Art. I changed from Oil to Acrylic paints and began to explore my patterns again.
