Jacqueline Seaton

Jacqueline Seaton was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and grew up there and in New York City, as part of a big family. She began to write and draw when she was a little girl and continued to be interested and involved in art of all kinds, from writing and performing poetry to dabbling in acting, etc.

She began studying visual art at the American University in Dubai and finished her degree at the State of New York- Empire State College in NYC. Although she concentrates on painting, she also works in other mediums. Her influences include Amedeo Modigliani, Gustav Klimt, Mickalene Thomas and Kehinde Wiley.

She relocated to Orlando from NYC in November 2020 and joined the Avalon Park Group as Manager of The 5th Floor Coworking Space. She also recently founded her own company, Archer Art, which will bring arts-based events, entertainment, classes, and exhibitions to Orlando.

She has one daughter, Rachel, who is studying performing arts at Western Connecticut State University and will graduate in May.

Jacqueline’s vision for her art is to continue to be explorative; finding new and unpredictable ways of picture making and writing. To never stop learning and growing and hopefully to inspire others to do the same. Just as she began to make art from an early age, she will always make art, at every age.
