Mr. San-ito is an entity whose sole purpose is to remind and educate humans on the things most forgotten about in our world: the ones here before us.

Their work focuses on themes and topics, portrayed through anthropomorphic animals, or Ani-mans, that showcase their struggles through means and imagery similar to humans. With a self described style of “Dream Pop,” Mr.San-ito aims to give you the feeling of a hazy empathetic dream for these often stepped on creatures.

Mr. San-ito is an amalgamation of affixes, roughly translating to “Mr. Little Guy” (or more
technically “Mr. Mr. Little”), and serves as the name of a person willing to callously, and
hypocritically, call out humankind for its destruction of the natural world.

While the meanings and thoughts behind the painting can be rather grim, art is a great
medium to bring forth voices we tend to ignore. Never stop creating, for art is a skill, not
a talent.

Behind The Pieces

Sanctuary

Pre- Mr. Sanito

I have always listened to music, not only when I do art, but also in my darkest times to give a small glimpse of something brighter. Joji, the person shown here, has been one of those artists who allowed me to transcend any thoughts I may have. His music has transported me to worlds I never knew I could create, allowing me a momentary peace, a Sanctuary. Created during and post his 2020 album Nectar, the piece showcases what I felt as a transcended my worry with his music.

Misery Loves Company

Creation of Mr. San-ito

What first started as a school assignment, this piece evolved into the very nutrients that
allowed the long dormant seed to grow; roots reaching and entangling the essence of
thought and concern for our world. Perhaps poisoned by my dark mindset, my views of
reality, what might have been a bright flourishing plant has grown into a festering mass
of choking vines, seeking only to consume more. Afterall, Misery Loves Company.
Place yourself in the shoes of the Ani-mans before you, draw forth your desire, and
choose: do you throw the stones, or do you have your dreams intact?
