Rosiet is Lina Rosa Contreras:
Originally from Venezuela, she lives here in Florida Ms. Contreras is a self-taught artist, reaching a high standard in canvas, fabric and porcelain media. She received several short courses in Venezuela, including porcelain, started painting with a group of friends and ended up as their teacher. She has a teaching degree from Venezuelan Federation of Porcelain Painters.
Everything is transformed by her brushes -commonplace and unusual items equally. She has participated in many national and International exhibitions, in prestigious locations,
including Venezuela and the United Arab Emirates. Now she is delighted to present here in Orlando.
Rosiet also loves to spend time and chat with people in Art & Craft Fairs. She enjoys painting fabric and shoes, having collaborated with Gionni Straccia, a Venezuelan
haute-couture designer for Miss.Venezuela pageant, dresses and weddings. She has painted clothes and bags in unique styles and accepts customized orders in all
media…ceramic, porcelain, oil, acrylic; She loves to set challenges and set one up for herself early-on, which was to paint horses. We
can see the results on her canvases.
For all those who have the desire to paint, Rosiet encourages everyone to try, persevere with consistency, and success is assured. She delights to paint from her imagination, describing
herself as a practicing painter- A simple painter engaging in it just for the love and enjoyment. She is still painting at 85 years young and has no plans to stop!
