Ileana Worrall’s career was in the investment banking industry and served with Credit Suisse, First Boston and Popular Securities in Puerto Rico for over 30 years. She retired and has lived in Orlando for the last 16 years.
Ileana inherited her passion for the arts from her mother’s side of the family which has many musicians, artists and poets. She is trained in classical singing and has performed in several operas in Puerto Rico, has performed in Berlin, Dublin and in Orlando at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts.
Ileana began painting 5 years ago and true to form began with training at the Crealde School of Art in Winter Park. She has participated in numerous workshops at Crealde. One of her most influential instructors and fellow artist is Beth Pendleton. Other instructors have been Noreen Coup and Giovanni Casadei and Sally Cummings Shisler. Her primary medium is oil and she is especially fond of the palette knife impasto technique. She is fascinated with the subject of birds and in particular in water settings.
She has exhibited several times at the professionally juried Crealde Annual Student Exhibition.
