I’m a spiritual , independent, enthusiastic and colorful soul: Romanian, Italian, and American Citizen, educator and cocreator. My Art is just like me a blend of cultures, energies and positive vabriations standing for the joy of belonging to the Divine Universe. Greetings, wonderful souls! My name is Anna Anuta Brunelli, I am a Romanian, Italian and American citizen. I was born in Transylvania, Ieud, Romania with the name Anuța Ples. At 15, I moved to Italy to study at the Benedettine Di Carità’ convent (Suore Benedettine di Carità ) I studied for two years in Rome and 4 more in Milan. I finished the High School “ Liceo Socio Psicopedagogico Pedagogic in Milan and soon I realized that what I could offer the world far surpassed what I could do as a Catholic nun. I transferred to Bologna where I studied in the Faculty of Educational Sciences “ L’Università di Scienze dell’Educazione, indirizzo Educatori Professionali“ and then completed the Erasmus program in Spain. Everywhere I moved I worked with children from different ages as an Italian teacher and substitute teacher in Romania, Italy, Germany, Spain and United States. After college, I married an Italian guy and we immediately moved to Germany and eventually in the USA. After twenty years, the marriage dissolved and the loss of that love broke me into pieces, but with many life lessons learned and with two wonderful children, I was able to revitalize my life. After accumulating these meaningful life experiences, I started all over again in almost every way at the age of 44. it was like a spiritual awakening moment. It was then that I discovered what Self-Love is, and that I am a divine creature, a co-creator of my Reality! I began to educate myself by listening to books about personal growth And transfer the energy in Art . Painting and creating for me is a therapy, a process of healing and growing. I started meditating and practicing yoga. It is through these practices that I came to love myself and began my journey of personal and spiritual growth, all of which translates to what I express on canvas. It’s not easy for me to define myself when what I am spans several continents, planes and dimensions. I am the artist, the educator, the actress, the woman, the mother , as well as the space and energy in which all these characters unfold freely. I don’t identify with the characters, the mentalities, the languages, or the labels. I think what I am is beyond them, what I am contains them all. I am everything and none at the same time. I am a citizen of three countries, but I don’t belong to any nation. I speak four languages, but I prefer to express myself through art. I belong to the universe. Who I am now is not who I was yesterday…and who I will become will be a better version of who you see today. At the moment, I do not identify with a particular artistic school or discipline. I am spiritual. I am a small deity who co-creates in this reality. I don’t offer criticism for art, and I don’t submit my work to art critics, but I gladly exhibit it in my Orlando gallery, in public exhibits and online in digital form. I don’t obey any artistic canon and I don’t follow any dogma, but practice art as therapy for healing, personal and spiritual growth. I am not interested in politics, but I am passionate about human rights, freedom and the divinity of everyone. I suppose what I’m attempting to communicate is that I don’t want to be boxed-in, or bear the burden of expectation. The reward may be that you are surprised by what I choose to do next. I paint, I create sculptures, I do jewelry, and I write poetry … and everything I do I put a lot of Love. I don’t print my Art or reproduce them, and I sale only the original Art . Please enjoy my creations and seek what resonates with the truth and beauty within you. The purpose of my art is to delight your eyes and soul, inspire you to create, and feel you are a magnificent God/Goddess having a human experience.
