Ann Heilbron is an Orlando based artist who explores her creative energies in her home based art space. After retiring from her career as a hospice case worker in 2020 she had an overwhelming urge to create abstract paintings. Using primarly acrylics, she enjoys creating florals and landscapes that are colorful and filled with texture. She likes her pieces to draw the viewer up close for a better look at the canvas. Ann considers herself an intuitive artist, usually having no real outcome in mind when starting a new piece. Her practice is to simply allow the painting to morph and transform as the paint is applied. She is particularly drawn to textures, patterns and the beauty of the natural landscape and uses this as inspiration in her work. She has taken painting classes at both the Maitland Art Center and Crealde School of Art. Ann has shown her work in numerous local shows and was recently chosen as the paster artist by Artscape for The Gift of Art show at Quantum Leap Winery.
