Alina Blaga-Smith’s artistic work spans collage, painting, community projects and crafts. With a creative path shaped across Europe and the U.S., Alina’s practice is fueled by a deep passion for eco-innovation, collective impact, and the joy of making.
She discovered collage while leading upcycling workshops at festivals and found new inspiration through the Bucharest Collage Collective and the Orlando Collage Club. Behind the Piece
Lullafly
The “Lullafly” collage blends surreal and symbolic elements that evoke a sense of transformation. The butterfly wings attached to the figure’s head suggest metamorphosis and freedom, while the multiple arms intertwined hint at complexity and confusion, reflecting the chaos beneath the surface. The sunflower and the window add a touch of brightness and hope, contrasting with the introspective mood.
